FCCF Workshop Multicolour (UPDATE)

[singlepic id=78 w=160 h=120 float=right]

Dear participants,

We opened the registration for our workshop on “Multicolour analysis in Flow Cytometry” on Monday and had to close it already on Tuesday, since we got more than 40 applications during that time.

We still receive applications for our workshop next Thursday 5th of November. So we decided to change the location for the lectures in the morning. Anybody that registered can attend the lectures in the morning sessions of the workshop. The lectures will now be held in the Seminar Room of the Life&Brain Building, Venusberg. Find attached the map to the location (Lageplan-Workshop).

We also had to change the time schedule and start the workshop now at 10:00 am in the morning. So there should be enough time to find your way to Life&Brain. For people from the university the easiest way is to take the bus 601 to Nervenklinik and leave at the terminal stop. Turn to the right and you already see the Life&Brain Building.

We initially thought that 10-12 people would be ideal to provide the participants an individual and intensive training. It did not work out, but anyway thanks for the response.

We still have to limit the numbers of participants for the afternoon hands on session. So here is the preliminary program.

10:00 Get-Together

10:30 Introduction to Flow Cytometry

11:00 Break

11:15 Colours

12:00 Refreshments

13:00 New Instrumentation: The ACCURI Cytometer as an example

13:30 Lab Work

16:30 Final Discussions, Analysis and Coffee

For all the other interested users we want to point to the workshops that we plan in 2010. Each workshop will cover a special topic. So there might be something that fits to your current research projects.

February: Cell Proliferation and Apoptosis

March : Bead Based Assays

May: Phosflow and Signaltransduction
